On August 3, 2019 at approximately 12:45 AM Station 51 was dispatched for a confirmed working structure fire on Patio Ct. Chiefs en route to fire upgraded to a full first alarm while responding to call based on information from dispatch. Deputy Chief 51 arrived on location with a 2 1/2 story, wood frame, structure fully involved with fire showing from a majority of the house and vented through the roof. The Box was upgraded to a second alarm for additional manpower to assist with fire suppression by the fire chief on location. First units on scene established a water supply and deployed a 2 1/2″ line to the rear of the structure where a majority of the fire was visible. As units arrived multiple lines went into service as well as Tower 51 and Ladder 8 for master-stream operations. Command called exterior operations only due to the amount of fire in the structure. All companies did an amazing job extinguishing the fire and we would like to thank all mutual aid companies that assisted. Monroe Stations 23A, 23B, 57, Spotswood Station 71, Jamesburg Station 42, Helmetta VFD, East Brunswick District #1 and all stand by companies.
